Biographical Notes

Vasile Mosanu’s artistic journey is truly impressive and diverse, spanning across different mediums and techniques. From his early education in Moldova to his studies in Estonia and subsequent international recognition, he has continually explored and honed his artistic skills.

His favorite medium, oil on canvas, is evident in his paintings, which must have provided him with a great deal of artistic freedom and expression. However, his talent and versatility extend beyond canvas as he has delved into various other artistic pursuits such as book illustrations, iconography, murals in Orthodox churches, traditional stained glass, and glass painting.

The diverse influences in his work, ranging from Orthodox Icons to renowned artists like Van Gogh and Gustav Klimt, indicate his willingness to draw inspiration from various sources and blend them into his unique style. This fusion of influences, along with his Moldavian and Estonian teachers’ guidance, has undoubtedly contributed to the distinctiveness of his artwork.

Throughout his career, Vasile Mosanu has showcased his creations in multiple exhibitions across different countries, earning recognition and appreciation from audiences worldwide. With his membership in several prestigious art associations and numerous awards, including the honorary title of “Master in Arts” bestowed by the President of the Republic of Moldova, Vasile Mosanu’s contributions to the art world have been widely recognized and celebrated.
